Since 1999 the Payne-Phalen Living-At-Home/Block Nurse Program has helped East Side elders remain healthy and safe at home. As our mission says, "We build a circle of care around the diverse elders of the East Side."

The Payne-Phalen LAH/BNP is one of  11 programs in St Paul and 39 programs in the Living At Home Network that extends throughout Minnesota. Programs are based on the philosophy of "neighbors helping neighbors."  Payne-Phalen has just two paid staff so we also rely on a cadre of dedicated volunteers to help meet the needs of seniors in our area.

Volunteer and professional services we provide include service coordination, caregiver support, medical advocacy and assessments, community blood pressure clinics, rides to medical appointments and shopping, and friendly visiting.
